Well. If you consider to use NFC in the applications other than only tapping the NFC card, my question makes sense.
For example, Samsung LED cover case uses the same concept as I explained to connect the LED app on the phone to the LED board on the cover.

The problem is that the Samsung team have not yet published any information about the LED app and case.

Tickling the RF field does not work because LEDs on the cover need power.
