Read Mifare classic UID and Mifare desfire UID on the same reader ?

    Hi,

    My collective catering service use cash register with RFID readers. Users have Mifare classic card and the readers read the 4K UID card.

    I am planning to distribute Mifare Desfire cards that will be multi-services. The readers will read the 7K UID card.

    For a long time, both cards will be used.

    Is it possible to read the UID of both cards on the same readers ?

    We tried, but it appears the readers troncate the7K UID of the Desfire. According to the furnisher, the readers cannot be set for read UID of different lengths.

    Is it true ?
