Mifare 2GO

i get the idea this system works on smart phones through HCE, or maybe a customized app on an SE. is that correct?
secondly, if there are devices that exist such as the Fitbit versa with fitpay that already are using an SE, can they leverage Mifare 2GO?
or would they need to be redesigned with an HCE or NFC type emulator chip for 2GO to work with say the fitbit and mifare transit terminal.

Correct, MIFARE2Go works mainly with devices with an embedded SE.

ok, thank you. how is android leveraging it then? it must be supported through HCE also....is that true, and do you know the limitations on an HCE version of it?

Hi Doug,

HCE is an option for MIFARE2Go, but it is not yet released. Unfortunately, I do not have details now how this will be implemented.
