Can we make mifare classic secure?

We know mifare Classic has been broken.

My question is, say I store encrypted data (using RSA encryption - and provided RSA key is securely stored elsewhere) instead of plain data on Mifare Classic card. And also store a signature over this data on the card.

Does this make Mifare Classic secure?

    Hi stephan27,

if your data is properly encrypted, you can store it at any data media, even on a USB stick.

If you need a MIFARE product for high security applications, I recommend to use the MIFARE DESFire EV1. This product support DES/TrippleDES with 56/112/168 bit and AES with 128 bit in hardware.

    Kind regards,
    The MIFARE Team
