    Dear,

Hello, maybe I am not make myself clear.

Actually, what I means is, in the taginfo, it is able to read sector 0 with default factory key. However, when I want to authenticate with my code (from SrcsampleNxpNfcLib) it keeps giving me authentication error. Am i using the wrong key? I tried default keys with all zeros or all ffs, but none works.

    Dear,

    I knew that...

What I means is how can the taginfo read my card info successfully without the key? Are they using default keys? But I tried the default keys, it gave me authentication error.

    Hi,

Thanks very much for your response. Actually I got it that for each sector we need to authenticate with the corresponding key.

But what confuses me is that, when I scan my student card with the TagInfo app, it indeed able to read something, including the only thing i need--the card id in sector 0. I think it is impossible for the them to know the key of my student card, but they can read all the sectors 0, aka the card id of the student card. That is why i think that it may not need the authenticate key to read the card id, or it is using the default key to read the card id in sector 0. But i have tried many default keys like all zeros or all FFs, but it still gives me authentication error. Could you please explain it to me some more? I think I almost get there but I did a lot research but still have no clue.

    Dear,

Just to make it clear. I am reading only the sector0, which I can read data from TagInfo. So, I think default keys will be enough. But I tried many default keys still authentication errors.

    Hello,

Can I ask the way to omit authentication and read plain data without authentications? Because I have tried many ways just to read plain data, but always got "authentication error".

    Best regards.

    Dear,

Thanks for the reply. But that did not solve my question... my question is, I cannot read the data because of authentication error, but you were telling me that key A&B are at sector 0&1. But how am i able to get the data without knowing the key?

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. But I still don't quiet get it.

How can I read the data from the address without already having the keys?Because if I want to read the key A & B from the certain address, it will give me authentication error because I don't have correct keys. It is like and weird loop..
