    Hi Martin,

    For the MIFARE Classic the authentication is implemented in the NFC reader IC. If you want to use the Classic, you must use a NXP NFC reader IC.

    The authentication method for the MIFARE DESFire is published in NDA classified material. We cannot talk about it in a public forum.
