    This is Victor in Korea.
And I'm in the middle of studying about NFC application.
I have a question and can't solve it.
So I send an e-mail to hope getting answer.

I know I can know own NFC TAG ID when we used NDEF by using others smart phone.
But I want to know that there is any way to know my own NFC TAG ID, NEVER use others phone.

    For example,
When we tag the Phone A with Phone B, Phone A can know about Phone B's NFC TAG ID or vice verse.

But i want to know my own NFC TAG ID by using my own phone only.

If there is any way, please let me know it.
Of please give me your advice anything.

    Hi Victor,

The UID is part of any tag and SmardCard to make the tag unique. It is NOT part of NFC controller build-in in your phone.

You can set your phone in an emulation mode to emulate a tag. Then you have to give at least a fake ID (like “1234567”) to let the emulation work. This is not what you want.

Android supports the coupling of two phones via NFC, called Android Beam. The coupling is implemented in the Android operation system and does not requires a UID.

    Kind regards,
    The MIFARE Team
