Resources for new homeowner with preexisting Mifare lock

Recently I bought a home with a Mifare door lock. I have a few basic questions. If there is a FAQ for new users, I would love to see it, but I have spent some time searching, and could find nothing relevant.

1. I can change a physical lock. How can I secure my home with an electronic one?
2. If I want more keys cards, where do I get them, and how do I set them up to open my door?
3. Is it possible to open my door with my cell phone, which is NFC enabled? If so, how?
4. How can I change the key code on my door?
