Power loss while writing Data

    Hi
I am using Mifare Ultralight C.
What happens if the Tag loses Power while writing to the Tag? (e.g. Label is removed, or RFID Device is powered off)?
    Is the written data corrupted?
When I write a Key while power gets lost, is there a way to use the tag again?

    Thank 's for help

    Regards
    Christoph

    Hi Christoph,

this is what you should definitely avoid! The result is undetermined. Typically, a reader which writes data uses for instance a green LED which shows when the user can remove the tag from the reader.

Other products like the MIFARE DESFire offer so called “backup files” which use a special command “commit transaction” which write the collected data from the temporary copy to the data file. If the tag is removed before commit, the temporary copy is removed and the original data is left untouched.
