MIFARE card ID

  • 18. August 2017 at 19:42
How do MIFARE card readers interpret the card ID and convert it into Wiegand data? For example, I know some readers look for a staring bit 1 and then the following bits make up the Wiegand number that is output to the access control panel. I'm wondering if MIFARE uses the same method to output Wiegand data, or is it different?

    Hi Maria,

If I am not mistaken, “Wiegand data” is an old standard. MIFARE products use ISO/IEC 14443 Type A.
