Mifare card difference

Hello,

We are an access control manufacturer for hotels.
We supply the hotels our encoder, but not the RFID cards. The customers buy the RFID cards by their own to difference suplier.
Afterwards we detecct difference reading results of the RFID cards. Some cards are read perfectly but not others.

What can be the reading differences betwwen cards.

Hi,

There can be different impacts on the reading differences.

I would recommend to check the resonance frequency and q-factor of the different cards.

Another point would be to check the minimum operating field of the card (how much magnetic field do you need that the card answers to a request) - this can give you feedback about the maximum reading distance with your encoder.
