    Dear Support

    It is necessary register a Mifare AID in a control entity (ex.: NXP) in order to avoid colisions?
    Or can we freely define an AID to be used, even if the card is to being used by public transportation or any other type of public usage?

    I forgot to mention but this information is for a Mifare DESFire EV2.

    Hi Hugo,

    You can register your AID. The registering request can be obtained from support.docstore@nxp.com .

    You should take in mind: other companies can use the same AID without registration. But this is a rare use-case. At the end the verification should also include to read expected (and maybe encrypted) data from a file.
