My customer asked about the chip marking on a MFRC522.
Everything looks normail except for the bottom line that
reads " TSD1714 ". According to NXP document of MFRC522,
"TSD" is defined reasonably. But YWW (Year WeeK Week) for
"171" is possible to understand. Is it year 2001 & Week 71 ?
And the last letter "4" is not defined at all.

Does anyone have information on this ?
    I hope this is not "cloned MFRC522 " .

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I would say that “1709” means week 9 in 2017. TSD1714 is an internal code.
