Forum / MIFARE SmartCard IC`s / MIFARE Classic / Change Uid with CLRC663

I want to ask a question about CLRC663
Is 0x07(Tranceive) command just supports Mifare commands listed in the user manual(e.g. 0x30 read command) .
Is it possible to send other undefined commands (e.g. 0x43)?

Hi Yesilkaya,
No, NXP does not guarantee CLRC663 will work fine if you try to send non-standard proprietary commands different from those listed below:
Read/write mode supporting ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE
• Read/write mode supporting ISO/IEC 14443B
• Read/write mode supporting JIS X 6319-4 (comparable with FeliCa1 (see
Section 21.5) scheme)
• Passive initiator mode according to ISO/IEC 18092
• Read/write mode supporting ISO/IEC 15693
• Read/write mode supporting ICODE EPC UID/ EPC OTP
• Read/write mode supporting ISO/IEC 18000-3 mode 3/ EPC Class-1 HF
Nevertheless, if you have a proprietary ISO14443-4 card for which you have a native set of APDU's, you have more freedom when using CLRC663 in T=CL protocol since reader will push through APDU in the payload (reader doesn't care what you are sending to your card). Then, it will be up to your card to reply with "ok" or with "error message". When using MIFARE Classic related commands (on ISO/IEC14443-3), then you have to stick to only available MIFARE available commands in the list.
I hope this helps you.
Cheers
Rodolfo

Thank you so much Rodolfo. Your suggestion would be very beneficial for me.
I resolved my problem and i can send undefined command with CLRC663 to change UID.

Dear Yesilkaya,
reading the subject ("Change UID"), I have the feeling you're using a non ISO14443 PICC.
Keep in mind that such ICs with programmable UID are not supported from NXP technical support, as those ICs are unauthorized copies of MIFARE ICs. These ICs with programmable IDs are a threat to system security and system reliability.
Best regards

I understand your admonition.
I just was curious how UID changed but I wont use it to copy any mifare card.
thanks for your help.

Hi Yesilkaya
Do you mind sharing what you have done to resolve your problem? I'm currently stuck at the "0x43" command with the CLRC663, i have the 0x57 and 0x40 already successful, but 0x43 does not work.
Could you explain what you have done?
Thank you
