Hey guys, i've been researching this for a large educational institute that are developing a new access system and want to the new access cards for students onto the phone for access.
Both in android and ios. We do have access to the access system so know the encryption keys so we can create a prof of concept on the mobile nfc enabled devices.

Are there any examples how this can be carried out with the sdk or some pointers how this can be achieved? I cannot find any information on this but others have created the same the same so information must be available.

    Hi Steve,

For Android you have all freedom for such app. For instance, you can develop your own app easily. The MIFARE DESFire allows it to have several so-called applications. One for an access system, one for a “on campus payment system” etc. Each such application has its own set of keys, set of files etc.

You can use TapLinx for handling the NFC interface stuff and for managing MIFARE cards.

But for iOS currently only NDEF tags are allowed. The NDEF interface is for iOS restricted.

    The TapLinx team
