The PN512 is a universal NFC reader chip which supports of course the whole MIFARE family.
Please take in mind, the PN512 is an older product where you have to implement a lot of the protocol behavior in software. Newer NXP NFC controllers makes the handling easier and do a lot of protocol tasks autonomously.
