iDTRONIC, professional RFID specialist for stationary and mobile RFID readers and writers, launches new desktop and USB stick reader with full support for NXP MIFARE® transponders.

iDTRONIC’s EVO Desktop and EVO Stick Reader are two easy to operate multi-ISO RFID reader and writer with convenient USB – Virtual COM port interface. The plug and play readers with integrated antenna can be used with Windows, Mac, Linux and Android systems as well as most PCs, notebooks and terminals.

Placed above the proven HF version, iDTRONIC now offers a new model in the 13.56 MHz high frequency range, called EVO DESFire. Besides ISO14443A/B, ISO15693 and ISO18092, the new EVOs offer full read and write support for all NXP MIFARE transponder types, including MIFARE DESFire EV1 2K / 4K / 8K, MIFARE Classic Mini / 1K /4K, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE Ultralight C, MIFARE Smart MX, MIFARE Plus S / X, MIFARE Pro X plus more chip types.

Available as an option, both readers can be used as a Human Interface Device (HID). This allows direct output of an RFID tags UID in hexadecimal format. The HID output format can be modified on request. For custom applications and development, a user-friendly Software Development Kit (SDK) as well as demo software for Windows operating systems is available for download.

EVO DESFire is available as a Desktop Reader with multicolor LED frame and as a compact Stick Reader for mobile use. Applications range from reading of ID member cards, cashless payment and POS systems to access control and time logging systems.
