MIFARE® ICs power International Day of Yoga In India 23. June 2016

33,000 personalized MIFARE IC based entry cards were handed out during the International Day of Yoga event in Chandigarh (India) on June 21, 2016. Having its origin in India, Yoga is a 5,000 year old practice that helps to transform the body and mind.

With the MIFARE powered entry cards participants were allowed to pass one of the 109 gates after an electronic authentication and verification of the ID. The electronic authentication was performed through NFC enabled mobile phones. Through the smart event tickets the event organizer has received key statistics of the attendance performance a short time after the event has ended. Watch the video below to see how it worked.
