Is there any generic AID for access control systems? and any generic file structure?
How and where do we register an AID?
Is there any lists of current AIDs and their use?
    Regards

    Hi Filip,

Sorry, but I do not understand your question and I do not know what you mean with AID and generic structures.

    Hello
I'm talking about the Application ID on a Desfire card, according to some data sheets that I have read you need to register your AID.
I need more information about that process and how it works

    Hello Filip,

You have to create an “application” (which is a bundle or a directory structure) on the MIFARE DESFire. An application has a number, the AID which has three bytes. It may exist some AIDs on the card. But you can create your own AID, because the DESFire is multi-application card. It is clear that you cannot use already used AIDs or the AID = 000000.

The card issuer (who has the PICC Master Key) is able to lock the card which makes it impossible to create your own AID. But this is an option and is recommended not to lock the card for other AIDs.
