Centre for Identification Systems

The Center for Identification Systems was established in 2006. It specializes in automated identification technologies and e-business operations. It’s main activities include:- research, development and implementation of methodology, standards, and technologies in the field of automatic identification and electronic workflow management; - development, implementation and maintenance of automated information-analytical platforms, resources and systems based on advanced identification technologies (bar coding, radio frequency identification), visibility and business processes for e-commerce and their system integration;- coordination of operation of national information resources, systems and databases for products manufactured in Belarus and marked with bar codes and radio frequency identification codes;- providing of wide range of consulting and technological services in the field of bar coding, radio frequency identification and electronic workflow management for automation of supply chains.
On the basis of the Center was established a National Technical Standardization Committee "Identification" (TC24), national laboratory for verification of bar codes and RFID laboratory which was included in the European GS1 EPC RFID Labs Network in 2012. The Center interacts with state administration bodies and business communities of Belarus, Eurasian Economic Commission, such organizations as UNECE (CEFACT, WP6), ISO (TC 204 “Intelligent transport systems”), GS1 as well as with the leading European and Asian companies specializing in identification (NXP, ZTE, Agriconsulting Europe S.A. and other).
