ASK supplies Royal Wedding limited-edition Oyster card 28. April 2011

Transport for London, the integrated body responsible for London’s transport system, has decided to commemorate the marriage of Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton on April 29 with a limited edition Oyster contactless smart card.

ASK is a major supplier of Oyster cards, including this limited edition card. Based on high secure NXP MIFARE DESFire™ EV1 chips, these transport cards will allow visitors and residents to travel on London’s buses, trams, Tube, DLR, London Overground, National Rail and some Riverboat services during this high visible public event. The “wedding” limited edition will for sure become a collector card and be kept as a souvenir by visitors that will attend the ceremony.
